The Sketchdump continues...

I know that nobody views this blog but just in case you are some random passerby reading this I would like to apologize for the fact that I'm not uploading much in the way of polished/finished pieces. The reason I'm putting up pretty much everything I sketch each day is so that I have a sort of diary/record of my artistic progress so that when I look back at this stuff in a year's time I'll be able to see how far I've progressed (hopefully) by that stage.

Victorian Battle Piece

I put this piece together for a Victorian themed sci-fi battle between me and another memeber of the Sketchtavern boards. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out as it required a good bit of work due to the fact I had to sekk out a lot of references for this one.

*sigh* Today was my first day back to work after the holidays...but at least I had my sketchpad and an MP3 player stocked full of Podcasts to keep me going through the day. Here's what I sketched up:

'Lo all,

First off, happy new year everyone, hopefully you'll have a good 'un! While we're on that subject I've made myself then same resolution I make every year -- to DRAW MORE! 2007 was a pretty underwhelming year when it came to my artistic output so I'm going to try and get my new year off to a great start by drawing at least something every day, even if it's only a doodle.

I decided one of the things I'd need to do is to get rid of distractions -- in my case both my Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. So, I've got them unplugged and packed away for now.

So...without further ado, let the pictures commence!
